ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø Black Alumni Network
Established in January 1988, the ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø Black Alumni Network (DBAN) addresses the specific concerns of, and advocates for, Black students and alumni.
With more than 1000 members across the country, DBAN exists to support, inspire and engage ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø's Black students and alumni academically, professionally and socially via networks, initiatives, and programs, connecting alumni and students to each other and to the ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø community.

DBAN annually honors students for their contributions to the Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color (BIPOC) communities at ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø and/or beyond. These individual(s), through strength of character and commitment, have demonstrated activism, advocacy, or distinguished service to campus and community.
In May 2023, the Black Student Coalition and DBAN co-hosted Black Graduation. Remarks were provided by Prof. Mark Barsoum and graduates were presented with Kente stoles. Michelle Serrano Mills ’90 and Sterling Freman ’92 attended on behalf of DBAN.
